I was at the match last night
and it was the best game played by Boro in ages and only disgraceful
decisions by the match officials allowed Fleet to win. I couldn't
believe the assistant referee put his flag across his chest for a penalty,
then said to the referee he made a mistake. Our forward was at least
two yards inside the area. Disgraceful.

Please could someone inform me
who put the match report on the website as it seems to indicate that Fleet
were the better team when in fact we played our best football for weeks and
had it not been for an extremely biased referee we would have won easily.
I assume whoever put the match report on was not at the game!

Becky - I am responsible for
all match reports on the site but do not attend most away games. Last
night I only had a brief conversation about the game just after the final
whistle (really just to get the result). The match report that went
online at 10pm last night just stated the score and our scorer. This
morning I added the rest thanks to information I obtained from Fleet's site.
Having not been at the game I have to take Fleet's word for it that they
produced a fine performance in the second period - they did score three
goals!

I was at the game and have a
photo of the divot left on the pitch two yards inside the penalty area
caused by the tackle that should have resulted in a pen. The referee
pointed straight to the spot and the assistant put the flag across his
chest. The ref then bowed to pressure from the Fleet players who
mobbed him.

A real good spirited and
passionate first half display that was rewarded with a deserved I-0 lead.
Fleet however got back into the game and took a 2-1 lead before the
unbelievable penalty incident that may well of changed the team's fortune.
A late third goal for Fleet finished the scoring. All those players
involved should take the positive's from this game into Saturday's fixture.
Well done.

Site Manager - yes they did
score three goals but only because our lads gave up after the disgraceful
behaviour of a match referee. Fleet were not the better team (far from it)
and certainly did not produce a fine second period. If anyone reads that
report like I did and were not at the game they would think that Boro' were
poor and deserved to loose when that was not the case. I hope Alex
keeps the same side for Saturday's game as they all deserve to keep their
places.
