It was Jeremy's last home
league game behind the mike yesterday. Trust him to be modest and not
announce it over the tannoy. I read his last programme notes and again
I wish him well in his new career and personal life. Well done the Fox
Man - we in the Tin Hut will miss you in the press box. The ball
retrieval team will never seem the same again. See you at the start
line at Farnham in June.

I would like to wish Jeremy
all the best for the future. It's been a pleasure to have known you
mate and its Gosport's loss with you going but I am sure we will see you
down the Club watching.

Having been a friend of
Jeremy's for quite a few years I can understand why he decided to call time
on his duties at the park. That said Jez, your dulcet tones will be missed
and thanks for all you have done for the Club in all the years you have been
associated with us.

All the very best Jeremy. One
of life's unsung heroes who just gets on with the jobs that many others are
not prepared to do. If it wasn't for people like you, many clubs would
not exist. Enjoy your break. Such is your love for The Borough, I'm sure
you'll be back again some time in the future. Till then my friend....

We would just like to say that
we will really miss seeing you at the home and away games. Hope we
will still get to see you at some of the games next season. Many
thanks for all you have done for the Club and wish you all the best for the
future.

So Farewell then to one
Jeremy Fox
Uncrowned King of the commentary box
No more gestures from the rabble
No more well modulated posh gabble
Life has maybe dealt you a kindly blow
Stopped you turning out a footy yobbo
Instead with trusty fork and barrow
Privett kept you straight and narrow
Wash the kit, cut grass, paint door
A broom up your a*** swept the floor
Too many jobs and oh so few hands
As you picked litter under the stands
Now at last your labours end is near
The toiletroadend turf's green all year
No more flooding from the winter rains
You've cleared the crud from the drains
But consider next August and I suppose
After slumbering all through your repose
There may well be some surprises in store
A home does require the occasional chore
Although by your fans you'll be missed
Your wife will be there (with a job list)
While scrubbing the steps don't be sad
Privett Park wasn't really all that bad
So take off your pinny, discard the broom
In the shed there is standing room
Sneak in a bell and perhaps wooden rattle
Watch the brave Boro boys engage in battle
Afterwards don't be singing in the bar
Zip straight back smartish in your car
If your wife rings you'll have no fear
Jeremy who? No he's not been here!
Well done Jeremy, clubs run on people like you. There is always a
willing work horse who gets overloaded while every one else loafs around
moaning. Don't stay away too long y'hear?

Your going to be sorely missed
mate. I mean if it wasn't for you then quite possibly I wouldn't be as
heavily involved with the Club as I am. Don't be a stranger will you
and when you hear of the press box being handed over again you know full
well who it is and that it's the person you trained ever so well. You will
be welcome any time you wish mate. Best wishes, enjoy the future.
