Why did we have only one sub?

One sub? What's going
on? Pub team springs to mind!

There should have been three
but Terry Cox and Moussa Mamabue who were travelling together failed to make
it to Hillingdon.

Worried - why the need for a
stupid comment?

At this level of football how
can the Club let this sub problem happen? I agree with "Worried" - it
sounds like a pub team excuse. I would also question the commitment of the
players concerned. It is not that difficult to get to Hillingdon!

Thought Gosport played well
and we were lucky to get a point. You should finish at least mid-table on
what I have seen compared to other clubs. It was also the first time for
many years that I have seen a team come here with only one sub. That shows
great confidence or total lack of organisation! Good luck with the rest of
the season.

As an ex-player/watcher of the
first team, many of the grand ideas that the Club had when they got their
promotion are in tatters and the fact there were only 12 players to a first
team game sums up the below par season they have had!

Having spoken to Pikey, he
tells me that there was a genuine mistake made and consequently neither
Moussa or Terry made it to Hillingdon. These things happen sometimes
on away trip at whatever level you play at. I remember vividly a
particular trip to Alvechurch in the '80s.........!

I wanted to go on record and
congratulate the players involved at Hillingdon on Saturday. They were a
credit to this football club. Their performance was full of fight,
determination, confidence and pride. Although they didn't win, the display
was so much better and that elusive win isn't far away. I urge all Boro'
fans to come to the GDL on Saturday and get behind the lads from the off.
Lets get as many Boro' fans as possible there and cheering them on. I think
if we can get a really good atmosphere going and back the boys to the hilt,
they'll win. They'll draw so much confidence from that. The last two games
have seen a big improvement in performances and I think Burnham are there to
be beaten.

This would not have happened
if they had travelled by team coach!
Richard Palmer |

You can't say that Richard.
You were on that same coach I mentioned above to Alvechurch in the Southern
Premier when we say in a layby on the Fareham Road for an hour waiting for a
player who didn't show.

Where was Aaron Wilson?
Has he left the Club?

Aaron was injured last week.
This weekend I believe Aaron had enjoyed his hobby of card collecting a
little too much - he's suspended.

Any time you need me on the
bench I'm happy to oblige. Not too fussy on positioning but I do
favour a left sided role. Also happy to go in goal should I need to.
Let me know. Can you give me a few days notice though!

Lionel is that how long it
would take to get to the ground? We could send a cab round because I
don't see why you shouldn't play - half of Hampshire have had a go already.
