Who's heading for the exit and
who's coming in? I predict Danny Sturman is the first to go. I hear Kenny
Evans has talked to him about joining Locks Heath.

I am sure that will of
offended the Sturman clan Toby. One of the last Gosport lads in the
team. People were complaining about not enough local players in the
team a few months ago.

Danny Sturman leaving for
Locks Heath? Do me a favour. He is far above that standard and
why would he talk to Kenny Evans unless they were getting drunk together?
Neither he or Locks Heath are good enough to attract Danny and why would
Danny want to go? Its only his long term injury which has kept him out
of the side.

That's news to me but Danny
would be a welcomed addition to Locks Heath if he wanted to join us. But as
always, we are going into silly season when there's talk of players going to
12 different clubs and everyone knows that their tip is genuine.
Probably not a good idea to continue with this thread, unless everyone just
wants a laugh at all the rumours.

Having had 40 odd players
through the squad this season there is plenty of scope for change.
They can't all play next season and with some it will take a strain to
remember who they all were.

Its funny how these stories
get leaked. I have also heard this rumour about Danny. He is not Southern
League standard but I think he could play at a higher league then Locks
Heath. He is a good Wessex player and as long as he isn't leaving for
Fareham then I wish him well for the future.

I have to say that Danny
hasn't really had the chance to prove whether he's a Southern League player
or not because of his ongoing injury. As for him going to Locks Heath
- rumours are not facts and people should remember that.

Do you think the fans who want
more local players want to remain in the Southern League? In the late
90's under Dave Pitt the idea was to go back to attracting local Gosport
boys. This was disastrous and resulted in a poor Boro' team that was close
to relegation. If people want to go back to those dark days then we can but
I would rather attract the best players from around the area. I for one do
not want to see the drinking culture of the past! We are now on
another level.

Two points. On the
subject of local players you have to ask yourself what is local these days.
Personally I consider players who live within 15-20 miles of Privett to be pretty local
and when I did a quick headcount earlier in the season only about
four of the first team regulars lived outside that zone. The
second point is that for 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon those 11 players have to be The Boro' and
show commitment and pride in the club and the those they are representing.
If they can do that, I don't care where they live. We could pick only
Gosport players to play for Gosport but would they show any more commitment?
Debatable and like Toby states, think of the quality we'd be putting on the
park. Would supporters be happy cheering on local lads who are
hammered every week?

Call me old fashioned but I
like nothing more than to see local lads like Browner, Sturman, Manna, Rewey,
Thommo and Cammack to name a few playing for The Boro'. I only started
watching Boro' for this reason after becoming disenchanted with the primo's
of the premiership. There is a lot of talent in this town and anyone
can see that in the youth setup. We are all different in what we want.

Please wake up and smell the
coffee. The higher you progress the further a field your players come
from. How many Chelsea players come from Chelsea? We expect the
team to progress so should the level of supporters intelligence!

As for me speaking to Danny, I
speak to him every time I see him. As an ex-player of mine at
Fleetlands, I always ask how he is doing so if people want to read more into
that than I suggest they take up fishing as they obviously have too much
time and imagination.

After another bad season of
injury I'm fully intending to start pre-season training with the Club.
I am running again now and will definitely be going back fitter and
stronger. I'm in regular contact with the gaffer and all the time he
wants me at the Club I will be there. I'm looking forward to an injury
free season, where I am sure we will all be aiming for at least a play-off
place. It's an honour to play for my home town club and I cant wait to
get back to playing. Thanks for the positive comments.

A good positive end to the
season on the pitch and hopefully all players signed back up so we can look
forward to having a good go next season right? The season has only
been over a week and the usual people are at it. Who cares where the
players come from? Who cares about transfer rumours? The thing
we should care about is that this Club can achieve something special next
season. So we need unity on and off the pitch. Stop the moaning
start the supporting Borough.

Its nice that Danny wants to
stay at the Club but he's been injured for two years now and we have two
excellent centre midfielders with plenty of youngsters as back up. Sorry
Danny but its time to go.

So any rumours about new
signings? I see from the list we've not signed anyone new yet and Josh
Thomas and Glen Howes have not re-signed. I hope neither of them have
moved on.

The Club will not publish
rumours on the site for the very reason that alerting other clubs to our
interest in a player may result in us losing him. As for Josh, Glen
and any other player that hasn't re-signed as yet, Pikey is talking to all
of the squad but it takes time to get round to them all. As soon as we
know one way or another the details will be online.

Danny will give strength to
the squad but he wont be a starter. Glenn Howes and Michael Birmingham will
start and there will be a few in front of him. He's a nice lad though.

I was pleased to see that John
Wilson has signed on again for another season. I like the way he plays and
think he has been underrated at times. He is still improving and could
give us extra fire power up front.

Something that really bothered
me last year is when we had a number of players in the team, why was young
Rob Pittman brought into the first team? He has no experience in the
Southern League and lacked desire to play. Is he even good enough for
the reserves?

My apologies to Scummer and

the games were much more enjoyable? Nevertheless, I will return next

Any news on Lloyd O'Neill?
Apparently Havant are showing interest as well as other Conference teams.
Has he signed on for next season?

It will be a real shame if we
lose Lloyd. Fantastic player with age on his side. Does anyone
know what the situation is with him?
