Supporter's player of the
season |

Who won the Supporter's player
of the season award? I was unable to make the charity game midweek and
I was told this was when it would be announced.

By a landslide it was Justin
Bennett. Josh Thomas came second and Michael White third.

Gavin Jones should've been up
there. He's been one of the better players all season.

I agree he has been a very
strong defender and his work rate has been excellent.

I agree Gavin should have been
there but he spent long periods as a sub - goodness only knows why. I
thought he should have been playing regularly a lot sooner than he was.
Let's hope he's around for the friendlies.

I thought that Gavin struggled
earlier in the season to adapt to Southern League football but once
February, March and April came along he had come to terms with what was
needed at this level and was one of our better players. Good luck in your
recovery Gav and hope to see you chasing about the GDL come August time.

My spies tell me that some
higher level clubs are sniffing around Justin. Surprise surprise
Eastleigh, Havant and I think Farnborough are showing an interest.
Really hope we hold onto him. We could challenge next year if he
stays.

Justin is the best striker in
the league and it is understandable that other teams will come in for him.
I hope that Gosport keep him as well.

Yes I would worry because of
course they will sell Justin if the money was right.

In all fairness he wont be at
Gosport. He is the top goal scorer in the league and for a mid-table
side he should be playing higher than this level. We all know that.

Well if Justin does go (which
I'm not sure he will) then the others will have to pay top dollar for him.
Apparently he's very happy at Boro' so hope that Pikey's smooth talking can
keep him here.

I noticed his name come up on
the player of the year thread and also read he was settling into the side
after a lengthy period out but was wondering, if another higher level club
came in for Justin would he really stay at The Boro'? I for one certainly
hope so.

Neil is correct, I am happy at
The Boro'. Alex is a good manager and I have a lot of respect for him.
Although I'm not the only key player we should hope to keep, there are many
others and I'm more than happy to stay if Alex can 'smooth talk' them into
staying too. It's a good club to play for and there are a good bunch
of fans. Thanks for all your support this season.

I'll ship crouch out to Pompey
and bring young Bennett to the Kop. I will pay £500.

Thank you Justin for your
efforts, goals and especially for your response on the website. Very
informative, positive and good for the fans to hear. It's appreciated.

Well done Justin. You
are appreciated here as well as the rest of the team and even Pikey!
Pay no attention to the mischief makers that have been critical this season.
Every team has supporters that trail their knuckles on the ground.
