It does worry me when so many
players seem to slow/stop, put their hands up and look at the
linesman/referee and expect every time they do that a player is not only
offside but that an official may give it. The opposing forward is not
likely to stop on the defenders reaction so straight away they have a yard
or two advantage on the defender. Please can we play to the whistle as it
can cost us vital points. A game in the recent Euro ties was lost when
a defender stopped to appeal and it wasn't offside. Remember, as a
defender the player you think is offside might be but another player could
go onto score. Just a little point that we always drill in to
youngsters but many seem to forget when they get older.

Following on from my first
posting on this matter, did you see the result from the Hillingdon defenders
not playing to the whistle? A goal for us. Point made!
