Alex Pike's injury-hit team produced a gritty performance to return from Somerset with a share of the points.
With Pike unable to name Brett Poate, Dan Wooden, Aaron Cook and Adam Wilde in the starting line-up, there were plenty of changes in the Gosport starting eleven but his squad showed the determination and spirit that the recent run of form has instilled in the team.
Both sides enjoyed chances during a physical first half with Paulton going close through Ben Lacey and Billings hooking his far post effort over the bar.
With Boro's makeshift team doing well, Pike's problems were added to with Ian Jones limping out of the fray leaving the manager to introduce striker Liam Sewell in an unfamiliar midfield position.
After the break Boro' suffered another injury inflicted substitution with Steve Claridge forced off to be replaced by Aaron Cook - himself carrying an injury.
In a 15-minute spell, Paulton piled forward and Boro's defence came under increasing pressure with the home side sniffing a great chance of all three points but the Gosport defence, well marshalled by Lee Molyneaux, held firm and when Dan Cleverley did find himself one-on-one with the 'keeper, Nathan Ashmore was more than a match for the striker.
Despite the pressure, Gosport did enjoy their own chances and late on it looked more likely that Boro' would be the ones to take the points - most notably when Justin Bennett hit the post in the final few minutes.
