After two weeks off, Gosport returned at action at bottom side Yate Town, but despite a great start they again failed to produce the goods.
A full-strength Boro' were ahead in only three minutes thanks to an own goal by Yate's Stewart after a James Ford cross was headed on by Nathan Kirby but the home side soon found their feet and took the game to Gosport.
The equaliser came from the penalty spot after half an hour. Lee Molyneaux was lucky to escape punishment for upending Church and at first the referee gave a free-kick just outside the area but soon changed his mind and moved the ball to the penalty spot where Adams converted.
With the exception of good wide play from Brett Poate and Dan Wooden, Gosport were laboured for the remainder of the match - relying too much on the long ball forward which was comfortably dealt with by Town.
Yate had chances through Plummer, who hit the woodwork and Vahid but Boro's Jason Silver had the best chance to grab all three points but after good work by Ford and Adam Wilde, the substitute sent his shot the wrong side of the post with the goal at his mercy.
