Youth teams

Gosport Borough Youth Football Club was established in 1997 although the club itself dates back to 1990 when it was founded as Gomer Football Club.

We aim to provide football for both boys and girls from the age of six and to promote a good standard of football with our teams. We pride ourselves on the fact that all our managers are CRB checked and qualified FA Level 1 coaches. We are also aiming to become an FA Chartered Standard Club in 2008 - an award that is only given to clubs that are well run and sustainable and have child protection and safety paramount. The award recognises the Club’s commitment to coaching, player and coach development and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game all of which are big priorities for Gosport Borough Youth.

This will be my second year as Chairman. As a parent, an FA Level 1 coach, a disability football coach and a qualified football referee, it is my intention to continue to push the club forward.

Over the last few years the Club has gone from strength to strength with a dedicated team of voluntary managers, assistant mangers and Club officials. In 2007 we had a very successful season and this is something we wish to continue for the future benefit of the Club and the youth of Gosport.
