Gosport will head to the Tatnum Ground in Poole in the play-off final with the prize a place in the Premier Division of the Southern League. Tuesday night's second play-off semi-final saw Poole overcome Hungerford Town 2-1 at Tatnum to set up the final on Monday 7th May (3pm). Gosport will start as underdogs for the game which is likely to be played out in front of a large crowd. Although Boro' beat the newly-promoted Poole early on in the season, the better indicator will be the meeting of the two sides at New Year when Poole gave the visitors a real football lesson in a 3-0 win at Tatnum. For the winner it will mark a return to Southern Premier football for the first time since the 1990s. |
