Pike adds Eastleigh duo to squad

Two more players have been added to Alex Pike's squad with the arrival of Jamie Brown and Danny Smith from Eastleigh.

Brown will be expecting to partner Justin Bennett upfront in the forthcoming season and the 31 year old certainly impressed Pike enough in his debut friendly at Moneyfields to offer the former Spitfire a two-year deal.

He will be joined by Danny Smith, a midfielder starter his career with Bashley before moving to AFC Bournemouth where he played 24 times.

Smith then moved to Winchester City where he captained them to their FA Vase win in 2003 before moving on to the Spitfires.  He then moved to Bognor Regis Town before returning to the Silverlake Stadium in 2009. 

• Boro's home friendly with Sholing has been switched to Monday 13th August (7.45pm) from Saturday at the request of the visitors.
