Ever stood on the terrace thinking your could be Justin Bennett's strike partner? Ever thought Brett Poate or Aaron Cook could be taught a thing or two about how to defend? Now is your chance to wear the clubs colours and play alongside your favourite players and Alex Pike's new arrivals such as Chris Holland and Sammy Igoe on Sunday 5th August at the Boro' Family Fun Day. The event will see three matches played during the afternoon with the Ladies, Under 18s and reserves also in action as well as the first team and supporters. The afternoon kicks-off at 2pm when the Ladies first team will take on the newly formed Ladies reserve team in a 30 minute each way game before at 3.30pm the Wyvern League reserves team play the Under 18s. Following a line up of supporters and first team players and a "first pick for one, second pick for two" session, the two combined teams will take to the field at 5pm for another 30 minute each way match in which the first team players will no doubt barely break into a sweat and the supporters will need the assistance of the St John's Ambulance! Following the football, there will be live music in the clubhouse from 7pm. The entire event is free of charge though there is a small charge for those who wish to play in the first team/supporters game at 5pm.
