Second leg break for Thommo Fleet-footed Boro' favourite Danny Thompson has suffered his second career leg break. The midfielder volunteered to play in Wednesday night's reserve team game against Horndean reserves when he realised he would not be able to attend training on Thursday night. But a brutal challenge from behind during the game saw Thommo carried off - though a break was not initially suspected. In fact, the break was not diagnosed until almost 24 hours later by the Club's physiotherapist - and that after Danny had visited his own GP and been given the all clear! Supporters will remember Danny suffering a horror break when playing for the reserves a few seasons ago. The self-employed midfielder then spent several months on crutches - unable to work. Fortunately, it is understood that this break is not as serious and he should make a full recovery. |
