Jules Emati-Emati came off the Tiverton bench and proved the catalyst that inflicted Boro's fourth defeat of the season.
But the goal just before the break failed to lift Gosport and it was the home side again in control in the second half. With the Boro' defence looking increasingly uncomfortable Mark Saunders brought of Emati-Emati and the home side moved up a gear.
Within minutes Tivvy were level as Emati-Emati managed to steer the ball past Ashmore and as the home fans sensed a chance of all three points Tiverton through everything at Boro'.
And within the last five minutes first Tiverton's Nardiello slipped in to slide the ball past Ashmore and then Emati-Emati put the game beyond Boro' with three minutes left which condemned Alex Pike's men to a disappointing 3-1 defeat and a two place drop in their quest for a promotion spot.
Final score: Tiverton Town 3-1 Gosport Borough
