Match report: U10s 'B' v AFC Portchester 'C'
Published: 15 October 2007

The team especially wanted to win this match because it was the managers' birthday.  Unfortunately, at times it looked like it was a present that Lee Vicary wasn't going to get!

The boys started well with lots of chances on goal but none finding the back of the net.  As the first half finished the score was 0-0.

After the half-time team talk the boys went back on pitch more determined then ever to win the match.

Finally Gosport Borough scored when George Harms took a cross from Tom Vials and found an open goal.  The boys held the advantage for about 10 minutes but then Portchester scored from a free kick.

As time was ticking on again there were a few close attempts but none that counted.  Finally with minutes to go, Ryan Clutterbrook powered in a shot from outside the box much to the relief of the team, manager and parents.

The man of the match was again Jacob Gillan for his excellent defending and continued effort.

Final score: Gosport Borough 'B' 2 AFC Portchester 'C' 1
