Both teams started well with the majority of the game being played in midfield.  Clanfield had a shot on goal in the seventh minute but it fell straight into the arms of Alex Gill (AJ) Boro's goalie.

Clanfield did score on 10 minutes and could have made it two on 16 minutes after a free kick was awarded just outside the box.  The free kick beat the Boro' wall but not the crossbar and the score remained 1-0 at the break.

Clanfield came out the better team in the second half and made it two on 30 minutes.  Boro' didn't let their heads go down and upped their own game but their only goal came after 46 minutes following an excellent pass by Kieran Dowell which split the Clanfield defence and substitute Shay Brynes slotted the ball passed the Clanfield keeper.

Every team member battled hard to try and find the equaliser but it was not to be.
