Gosport went behind in the 5th minute to give Weymouth a confidence boosting lead, which could have been even more of a set back, were it not for a terrific penalty save from BORO’ keeper Rayan Hall in the 25th minute…but the celebrations were short lived as the save injured the Gosport keeper who had to be replaced by a substitute goalkeeper….

Outfield player and Club Captain Rory Williams pulled on the keepers jersey and this maybe gave the Terras the advantage.

However within a 10 minute spell goals from Fernandes (2) and Caborn, turned the game on its head and Gosport ended up going into the halftime break 3 - 1 to the good.

In the 55th minute Gosport’s position was strengthened with their 4th goal of the night from Ethan Taylor…maybe Gosport could at last relax!

It turned out to be anything but a relaxing final 35 minutes with Weymouth coming back into it with 2 goals to make it 4 - 3, and everyone in yellow held their breath.

Gosport are made of determined stuff these days, and the boys saw out the game to take all 3 points
