Suraci with a looping cross into the box, only for Mcallister to head the ball into the far right corner to give Boro’ the lead. It was only a matter time before Gosport extended their lead courtesy of the ball falling to Patrick Suraci, for him only needing to tuck the ball into the bottom left corner. For the away side, Staines started the better, with Boro’ limited chances, few and far between. The second half’s tension began to rise as Staines started to put pressure on Gosport and 3 yellow cards were dished out to Eddie Wakeley, Scott Walters for a foul on the edge of the Boro’ box and Staines man Bobby Lobonza for a last ditch challenge on Ryan Pennery. As the game came to a close, Staines pressure lead to a Harry Stow 92nd low hard shot past Mark Childs which he was unable to get strong hand on and gave Boro’ a nervy last 3 minutes. The final whistle blew and Gosport rise from 14th to 11th, while Staines Town go into 16th, 2 places above the drop zone.
