With no game for the first team yesterday they trained instead and stayed behind to cheer our reserves on, who were facing Cowplain Ladies in a league encounter.

Reserves Manager’s Report;

Today we welcomed cowplain ladies to our home, last time we played them was October 23.

From the moment the whistle went both teams battled hard, cowplain were fortunate enough to get the first goal after a ball over the top. We then came back after about 10 minutes with an equaliser scored by Alise Holt which was assisted by Bobbie Davies.

Good football carried on being played from both teams when Maisie Dalton managed to squeeze another goal in, assisted by Lauren Hickmott.

HT Boro 2-1 Cowplain

Second half we went back out eager to get some more goals and retain our lead, again both teams battling for possession. With about 15 minutes to go our captain Ellen Claytor scored which would have taken it to 3-1 but unfortunately the goal was disallowed due to it being deemed offside, a dubious decision but these things happen.

Cowplain come back from that and managed to score from a corner making it 2-2.

Player of the match- Sam Webb - well deserved, she battled hard throughout the whole game and never gave up.
