Sunday 8th May is the date for a ‘Fun Day for All The Family’ and a ‘Charity Football Match’ between Sophie’s All Stars and a Portsmouth FC Charity Eleven.

Portsmouth’s charity squad includes:

Alan Knight (MBE), Guy Butters, Dave Waterman, Shaun Gale, David Birmingham, Darren Anderton, Jake Thompson, Chris Burns, Wes Fogden, Paul Walshe, Bret Pitman, Danny Hollands - Manager Touchline Tony.

Sophie Fairall was a local girl who sadly died aged 10 after a year long battle with rhabdomyosarcoma.
A charity has been created in her memory called ‘Sophie’s Legacy'

The charity will continue to support families whose children have been admitted to hospital by providing food, toiletries or anything else that helps families during their stay.
The charity will also provide art therapy in hospital. It will also continue to campaign and lobby the government, cancer charities and the NHS to create change in awareness of signs and symptoms of childhood cancer, quicker process to diagnosis children, improve food standards for children, feed the parents and provide play specialist 7 days a week.

This will be the first charity event to raise much needed money to provide these services.
It will be a football match with Sophie's All-Stars versus Pompey Charity squad with players who have played in the Premiership and Internationally. You really don't want to miss this!

The event will be at Gosport Borough Football Club on Sunday 8th May 2022.
Gates open at 1pm
Kick off is at 2pm.⚽️

Tickets will be £5 for adults, £2 for children and a family ticket will be £10 (2 adults and 2 children).
