With the sad loss of our long term serving and highly respected
previous President Brian Cosgrave, the Club have moved to install
another Club Stalwart as his worthy successor.

Jeremy who is well known to the BORO’ faithful and a Gosport Man
through and through, will take up his new role with immediate effect.

Gosport Borough Chairman Iain Mcinnes, has sanctioned the
appointment and is delighted to endorse Jeremy’s appointment.

‘It’s my privilege to endorse the appointment of Jeremy Fox as the
new Life President of GBFC as of 1st Jan.
He has huge boots to fill as he takes on the role of his recently departed life long friend Brian
Cosgrave who served the BORO’ with huge distinction.

It’s key to the clubs legacy and future sustainability that local characters take
honorary offices within your club and I’m sure Jeremy will serve you
all with integrity and passion’.

Jeremy gives his initial thoughts following his appointment…

‘When asked to become the new President of Gosport Borough Football
Club a few weeks ago, I was deeply honoured to accept. To follow in
the footsteps of my late best friend, Brian Cosgrave and great men
such as Bill Adams, Harry Mizen and John Stimpson, is a privilege and
brings great responsibility.

2024 will be an exciting year, with much to look forward to on and off
the pitch and I am excited to bring my experience and personal
qualities to bear in my new role. I have plenty of ideas and projects
to bring to the table, with the encouragement of additional ‘Match Day
Volunteers’ high on the list…..more to follow.

forward to many years of service’.
