Dreams and Memories, which charts the ups and downs of Gosport Borough Football Club through the eyes of Boro’ superfan Jeremy Fox, has now been published and fans can buy the book and make a donation to the club’s Feed a Family in Need campaign.
Priced at just £8.99 the 240-page paperback takes us on the roller-coaster ride of being a Boro’ fan from the inside.
From the highs of Boro’ reaching Wembley in 2014, to the depths of the club virtually going out of business just three years later, this is a must-read for all Boro’ fans.
And £4 from every copy sold from the club’s Community Shop in the Club House will be donated to the club’s ‘Feed a Family in Need’ campaign, which has already helped out more than 500 families in the town, suffering financial hardship during the pandemic.
The shop has a supply of signed copies available for reservation, which can be collected once the current lockdown restrictions end. Email keithslater59@gmail.com or call 07565 508903 to reserve your copy.
Fox, who is a Club Vice President, said: “As a gesture of thanks and support for their work, Feed a Family will receive £4 from every copy sold through the community shop.
“Dreams and Memories is the story of my time at Gosport Borough giving insight into the many ups and downs I experienced over two decades as a volunteer at the club, adding my perspective on the highs, lows and controversies.
“In writing the book I aim to shed some light into my story and why I am who I am, how I came to be involved at GBFC and bearing in mind I am usually a very private person this is a rare insight into my background.”
