The lads fully deserved the comfortable win. However, being critical it wasn’t our best performance, especially in front of goal. We created a load of chances but only took 5 and had about 95% of possession.

This is something we need to work on, becoming more ruthless in key moments. Against the ‘better’ teams we might only get a few chances a game and not always have the ball.

As a group we are on a journey and It’s down to us coaches to continue to try and challenge these lads the best we can. At times this season the opposition hasn’t been very good and it can become boring.

It’s important we keep setting ourselves different targets each week. Some training sessions have been more competitive than our games.

We know we have some very tough games coming up, starting this Sunday against Tadley in yet another away cup fixture in the Quarter Finals of the Hampshire Cup.

A game we are looking forward to as this will be a different test as well as another opportunity to put ourselves into a cup semi final’.
