A Good…Good Friday crowd came to the AEI Stadium to add their support for both sides, but it was the Uxbridge fans who despite losing the pre-game Charity game who left the happier.

A massively important first game of an Easter double header didn’t go Gosport’s way and they went in at half time trailing to Uxbridge’s 38th minute opener.

Another goal for the visitors courtesy of an awarded penalty saw Gosport with a mountain to climb.

The home side did claw their way back into the game in the 63rd minute when Ben Greenwood stabbed in at the far post….but it wasn’t enough and the game ended in defeat, with the BORO’ anxiously looking at other results
