It’s another important week for the under 18s. We see ourselves play away in the Hampshire Sunday Cup Semi Final against a very strong Hamble Club side who week in week out have several players play/start for the first team in the Wessex Prem. Shortly followed by a Quarter Final tie in the Midweek Floodlit Hampshire Cup against a good Bournemouth Poppies team that we played earlier on in the season. The winner of this will earn the right to host Aldershot Town in the Semi Finals.

The talent, commitment, and character the lads have shown so far this season is a testament to their potential. Currently we are sitting well in the league, had a remarkable FA Youth Cup run and are in the final stages of two well recognised cup competitions. That doesn’t include the success of players weekly training with the first team and gaining that experience in some senior cup matches, which to me is the most important part.

The club representatives and Dutchy have highlighted in recent weeks the importance of this young group which is something I strongly agree with. This group represent the next generation and are the future of the club.

Wednesday 19th February sees us back at the AEI stadium for another big cup game. With more games still to come at the ground this season, it would be great to see as many of you supporting us once again. We’ve had some great attendances so far this season and at times bigger crowds than most step 5 teams. Your support will go along away.
