Kings Langley 0-0 Gosport Borough

Kings Langley 0-0 Gosport Borough

Samuel Carter2 Apr 2022 - 16:06

Gosport and Kings Langley eked out a draw as neither side did enough to look like scoring in what was the definition of a bore draw.

The first-half was almost completely devoid of any action on either goal. Boro failed to control possession and when they did have the ball in dangerous areas, shots and crosses were misplaced or blocked.

Kings Langley enjoyed the best chances as Harrison Crawford and Alfie Williams both forced Fynn Talley to make saves but in truth, neither side deserved to enter the break in the lead.

HALF TIME

The second-half started with a lot more intensity than was seen throughout the first 45 as Harvey Rew battled through a number of challenges to thread through Rory Williams but the wing backs cross evaded everyone in the centre.

Matt Paterson was introduced just before the hour and almost made an immediate impact when his front post header from a Williams corner had to be blocked as it looked to be heading in.

The game fizzled out with neither side registering more than a half chance with Alfie Marriot in the Kings’ goal and Talley making a couple of saves each.

The hosts will perhaps be the happier of the sides to pick up a point but it was a poor game and neither side deserved to win and a draw is perhaps the fairest result.
