Gosport end season in nine-goal showdown with Plymouth Parkway.
The deadlock was broken just a minute into the game when Parkway were awarded an early corner and made it count when Jack Veale rose the highest to guide a header home to give the travelling fans an early goal to cheer about.
On twenty-seven minutes that lead was doubled when a ball dropped to captain Rio Garside in the Gosport penalty area. The Nu10 sweetly struck a left-footed missile at goal which emphatically flew past Blackledge to make it two.
On the half hour mark Gosport pulled one back when Michael Fernandes was played in left of the Parkway penalty box. The Gosport talisman took on his man, going outside of his defender and taking it to the byeline before cutting back to Ben Greenwood unmarked in the box. Greenwood hit a shot hard and true which flew home to make it 2-1.
A minute after Gosport got this one, they added another in quick succession to draw level. A corner resulted with Charlie Wassmer taking two shots at goal, with the second attempt hitting the crossbar and fortunately falling to Hisham Kasimu who was there to rocket home from close range!
Just before the conclusion of the first half in the third of four minutes added on, Parkway recovered their lead. Reece Thomson tenaciously kept it in on the byeline before squaring to Mikey Williams who read the pass really well to get onto the end of the switch back before slotting in at the front post.

Parkway managed to score another worldie on sixty minutes when James Watts-Barciela stormed through the centre of the Gosport half, almost like the ball was stuck to his foot, skipping past three Gosport players before rounding Blackledge to cushion the lead.
The visitors lead was further cushioned when Thomson ran onto the end of a bouncing ball just outside the Gosport area and he kept his composure to chip it over Blackledge to make it five.
Gosport did grab one goal back through substitute Ethan Taylor when he was gifted a pass just outside the Parkway box. The Gosport substitute took his opportunity well by chopping inside of his defender and dragging a shot into the bottom right to make it 3-5 and bringing an end to Taylor’s goal drought.
The game was killed of by Parkway in additional time when Thomson was played through on goal and cooly rifled home to make it six.
