"For me though it’s about continuing to do what we are doing and just tidying up little things”

Shaun Gale wants his side to continue their good form ahead of a tough trip away to Swindon Supermarine.

Boro travel to play-off rival Supermarine, who currently sit fifth and are unbeaten at home with two wins and a draw.

The ‘Marine’ have plenty of Football League experience within their team, including the likes of David Pratt and Chris Zebroski.

“They are a really good side, you look at the players they have got; they have just signed Chris Zebroski, so they obviously mean business, and David Pratt, who has played at a better level,” said Gale.

“They’re taking on good players with good experience and are in good form, so it’s going to be a tough game. But, I’ve said to the players that if they perform to the level they can, then they have a chance of winning, and that’s the important thing to try and keep the run going.”

However, Boro themselves have plenty of form going into Tuesday’s clash, sitting second in the league and having won 5 out of their six league matches.

Their last win came on Saturday against Yate Town, with new summer signings Matt Briggs and Nicky Dembele getting the goals.

Gale said that although his side have been excellent so far, they could be slightly better on the ball.

“Me and the players know we can be better on the ball, when we did show our quality on Saturday we created chances and scored a really good goal to win the game.

“Sometimes with youth there is a tendency to be wasteful with the ball, but I can’t criticise lads that have won the number of games as they have. For me though it’s about continuing to do what we are doing and just tidying up little things.”

Gale has also said that Boro go into the match with the same squad after picking up no injuries on the weekend.

“We’ve come out of Saturday with no injuries so far, which means that we have the same squad of players to pick from. No one is back yet at this moment in time, but I have huge confidence in the lads, they’ve done fantastic up to this point.

“We’re not getting carried away with ourselves though, we know that we’re going to a very tough place in [Swindon] Supermarine”
