"We can’t get ahead of ourselves though, the focus is firmly on Saturday.”

Shaun Gale said the match against Yate Town is the start of an important run of fixtures for Boro.

It’s the start of a busy schedule for Boro as they play three matches within ten days. Boro play Yate Town twice, once in the league and then in the FA Cup, and also travel away to Swindon Supermarine on Tuesday.

Yate have also had a strong start to the season, currently sitting in 8th place with eight points and are unbeaten in their last three matches.

Gale said that despite the hectic schedule he is focusing on one match at a time.

“It’s an important game and I'm looking forward to it. Similar to us, Yate Town have had a difficult fixture list and had a good start, so it will be a tough game, there is no easy game at this level. It’s important that we do things right and prepare ourselves well for the match.

“We have a tough ten days coming up. Obviously we’ve got Yate at home, then we go to Swindon Supermarine on Tuesday, then go away to Yate Town in the FA Cup. We can’t get ahead of ourselves though, the focus is firmly on Saturday.”

With a busy set of fixtures ahead it is also the perfect tie for senior players to return. Ryan Woodford started the game against Plymouth Parkway on Saturday and against Winchester City on Wednesday, whilst Rory Williams appeared as a second-half substitute in the Southern League Challenge Cup match.

Gale said it is important that senior players return as soon as possible.

“Rory [Williams] played on Wednesday against Winchester and it’s good to have him back because he’s a key player for us. We’re hoping for a bit of luck now with injuries because we need a few more senior players back sooner rather than later.”
