Speaking after the Boy’s rare defeat to Moneyfields Weds Night….

‘Firstly I’ll like to say congratulations to Charlie and his players. They worked extremely hard for him and deserved to be in the final.

We wasn’t at our best tonight and let Moneyfields into the game in too many moments. We were stuck in gear 1 which you can’t do in a cup semi final.

Moneyfields were exactly how we expected and credit to them as the ‘style’ works. The result is the result at the end of the day and there is always a bigger picture. We are extremely disappointed with our performance as a team as we know we were not at our best, which ultimately cost us being in the final.

Three names I’ll like to mention, Freddie Beeson, Jack Bagnall and Harry Laver were outstanding this evening. Best players on the pitch by a country mile.

We dust ourselves off and prepare for another tough game against the same team on Sunday. We have not been on the end of a result like this so as a coaching team we are looking forward to seeing how we respond and bounce back.
