Ten minutes before the break, Thomas came out of his goal to challenge Rowan Vine but the Gosport newcomer showed the keeper his skills as he sped past him and fired the ball into the open net.
The visitors came back stronger in the second half but couldn't keep Lee Wort or his replacement Steve Ramsey at bay for long - both having shots on goal in quick succession.
On the hour mark, George Barker showed quick feet - dribbling around several players and putting the ball in the net.
Andy Robinson made his first appearance of the season, returning from his foot injury and replacing Vine.
Ramsey had two quick fire shots with 20 minutes to go but it was Barker with the final goal of the game - a curved shot from the edge of the area that the opposing keeper had no chance of stopping.
